Book Overview: “If you give a mouse a cookie, he’s going to ask for a glass of milk. When you give him the milk, he’ll probably ask you for a straw. . . “. So begins this delightful story about an energetic mouse and an accommodating little boy. Full-color illustrations.
Hones’ Review: This is a fantastic book to teach children the idea of sequencing and prediction. I like that the end of the story circles back to the beginning. My children enjoyed guessing what that silly mouse would want next. They were delighted when they were right but almost more thrilled with their outlandish suggestions. I loved that it brought such creativity to the surface.
Recommended for ages 3-8.
