Book Overview: When Miley gets paired with Oliver to do a scene from Romeo and Juliet in drama class, she’s afraid that they’ll both get a big fat F! After all, Oliver’s not exactly a “natural” when it comes to Shakespeare. But soon, Miley has a lot more to worry about than Oliver. Hannah Montana is asked to sing the national anthem at an L.A. Lakers game, and as she steps into the spotlight, she suddenly forgets the words! Plus, after Miley convinces her dad to do a concert of his own, will she end up regretting it?
Mary’s Review: Hannah Montana, a.k.a Miley Stewart, is paired with Oliver Oiken one of her best friends in Romeo & Juliet much to Miley’s dismay. Oliver turns out to be a big joker. When asked why, it’s discovered he has stage fright. Miley tries to convince him that she too gets stage fright when she appears on stage, but he doesn’t believe her and when he overhears her bailing on him to her father, he is hurt and angry. See what Miley must go through in order to convince her friend she cares for him, and is sorry.
In the meantime, Jackson, Miley’s brother, becomes bitten by the sugar rush bug. He can’t get enough sugar. Learn what it does to his system and how he must beat it before it beats him.
Good lesson learned here with a good moral.
I recommend this book for girls ages 9-12.
