Product Description from Amazon: Nancy prepares an elegant Easter affair in this fancy new lift-the-flap book! Throwing a fabulous and fancy Easter party is a very big job-and Nancy and Bree are in charge of decorating!  This book includes thirteen flaps that open to reveal hidden surprises that will delight all festive Fancy Nancy fans!

Mary’s Review:  This delightful little flip-the-flap book is colorful and has surprises behind each flap.  My granddaughters had me read it to them over and over just so they could open the flaps.  They had as much fun hunting for decorations for the Easter party as did Nancy and her best friend Bree.  Your child will even learn a few words of French.  Fancy Nancy loves speaking French.  My one year old granddaughter loves the flaps and trying to find them on each page.

I recommend this book for ages 3-6.

About the Author: Jane O’Connor is the author of more than thirty books for children, including the New York Times bestselling Fancy Nancy series, illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser, and the Nina, Nina Ballerina stories, illustrated by Dyanne Disalvo-Ryan. Fancy Nancy was nominated for the Quill Award for Best Picture Book in 2007. The Emperor’s Silent Army: Terra Cotta Warriors of Ancient China won Booklist’s Best Nonfiction Book for Young Readers in 2000. Jane has two grown sons. She was born, bred and still lives in New York City with her husband and their canine companion, Arrow. Find her at http://www.fancynancybooks.com/

Product Description from Amazon:
Karen Katz’s distinctive illustrations bring baby’s words to life!  Lift the flaps in this sturdy board book to see what a hungry baby, a happy baby, and more say!

Mary’s Review:  I absolutely loved this “lift the flaps” book and so did my one year old granddaughter.  The illustrations are brightly colored and the flaps are large enough for her to lift on her own without tearing them.  I chuckled at a couple of the what the baby says and thought of a few of my own.

I highly recommend this book for ages 1-3.

About the Author: Karen Katz has written and illustrated more than fifty picture books and novelty books including the bestselling Where Is Baby’s Belly Button? After graduating from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, she attended the Yale Graduate School of Art and Architecture where she became interested in folk art, Indian miniatures, Shaker art and Mexican art. Summary from Goodreads-Because Joshua the Lamb was different, he often felt left out.  But God had a special plan for his life.

This special little book with beautiful illustrations tells the story of a special lamb named Joshua who was born different from the other lambs.  He could not run and play as the other lambs and they made fun of him.  But Joshua had a special friend, Abigail, who loved him for who he was and always told him that God had a special place for him.  Because he loved Abigail he believed her but he still felt sad.  When the flock is moved to a better pasture, he is left behind.  What happens next to Joshua will change his life forever.

I highly recommend this book for ages 1-6 and be sure to have a tissue because it will bring a tear to your eyes.
