little red reads reviewThe 12 Days Of Christmas A Peek Through Picture Book, is a creative, magical way to teach younger crowds the 12 Days Of Christmas Song. The elves on the front page have engaging, welcoming faces, and the silver Holly, and Snowflakes are sure to draw a child to the book. It has fun cut outs and sparkly pictures so your kids have a visionary perspective to what the items in the song are. In the tradition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and The Night Before Christmas, the award-winning Christmas classic introduces Blink, the most famous elf ever, who saves Christmas and introduces Santa to his elves. The tale is filled with Holiday magic and inspires the true spirit of Christmas. A family tradition to celebrate the start of the Holiday Season.

Many, many Christmases ago, Santa discovers that Mrs. Claus has always wanted a Christmas tree to decorate. The following Christmas Season, he brings home the very first indoor Christmas tree for her. The Clauses love their tree, but they forget to water it because they are so busy preparing for Christmas. The night before Christmas Eve, the tree is almost lost, but a mysterious elf with a magical blinking red hat saves Christmas, and teaches Santa and Mrs. Claus that all living things need care and attention.

This book is beautiful! My ten year old sat down and read it to our six year old . That in and of itself is a Christmas miracle! They loved every page. With bright illustrations and a great message about Christmas trees and fire safety, this book is a keeper. It was just the right length for a read aloud. It has Santa and Mrs. Clause, elves and their pet puppy all rolled into a delightful tale. We highly recommend!

Sam Edwards isn't looking forward to Christmas, at least not this year. Since losing his job six months before, he hasn't had any luck in finding a new one. He isn't sure how he can give his family a merry Christmas, and the last thing he wants is charity from his neighbors. But when he falls asleep in his living room with his shotgun across his lap just to make sure no one attempts to visit him he wakes up to find out who left the presents, the freshly fallen snow reveals no footprints.
Years later, Sam's wife has passed away and his children are grown. Old and sick, Sam remembers the kindness of the anonymous stranger from long ago and wishes for an opportunity to bless another's life. So on Christmas Eve, when he sees his neighbor's house on fire, he hopes that he can be the means for another anonymous miracle.

Sam's Christmas Wish is a story of love, service, and sacrifice. It is one man's realization that Christmas is not just an event, but a spirit that can transform the lives of many.

little red reads reviewWe’ve received a lot of Christmas books over the past few weeks and this was the one my nine year old picked up first. She read all the way though and loved the story. “Sam got his Christmas wish!” With beautiful life like illustrations and a tender story of selfless service, Sam’s Christmas Wish is also a tear jerker.  Sam is a grumpy dad and gruff neighbor who will call the Sheriff if you try to serve him with “charity.” But his heart softens over the years and he is given an opportunity to extend a hand of love. We loved Sam’s Christmas Wish and will read it year after year!
