Review

I read I Want to be a Vase to my preschooler who thought it was silly and she laughed at the antics of the plunger, as well as the vacuum featured. The illustrations remind us of Ikea. Each member of the household decides they want to break out of their normal use and find something else to be. With lots of colors and funny conversations, the book held a child’s interest and is a lighthearted read aloud.

They All Saw a Cat meets The Important Book in this sensitive and impactful picture book about seeing the world from different points of view by Caldecott and Coretta Scott King Honoree Christian Robinson.

In this full, bright, and beautiful picture book, many different perspectives around the world are deftly and empathetically explored—from a pair of bird-watchers to the pigeons they’re feeding. Young readers will be drawn into the luminous illustrations inviting them to engage with the world in a new way and see how everyone is connected, and that everyone matters

Review

You Matter is a book my daughter chose on her own out of our to be read pile of books. We enjoyed the illustrations which remind me of Eric Carle or Leo Leonni. The message is hopeful and repetitive to remind us all that we have a place in this world, no matter how diverse. We matter, we are not alone and we are loved. Highly recommend! We found this book to be timely for children. Thanks Simon and Schuster for sending us this beautiful book.

The twelve days of Christmas have never looked so fun! Turn page after page of this innovative picture book based on the classic carol “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” and watch as twelve days of gifts appear through clever peek-through holes on each page! Young children will especially love anticipating all the presents and seeing them arrive as if by magic. This interactive and lively book is sure to be a family favorite at Christmastime year after year.

little red reads reviewThe 12 Days Of Christmas A Peek Through Picture Book, is a creative, magical way to teach younger crowds the 12 Days Of Christmas Song. The elves on the front page have engaging, welcoming faces, and the silver Holly, and Snowflakes are sure to draw a child to the book. It has fun cut outs and sparkly pictures so your kids have a visionary perspective to what the items in the song are. The book encourages the readers to be productive, and go on an adventure with elf friends to learn the song.- M. age 13
